Big layoffs coming at Convoy, a logistics startup backed by Bezos and Gates
- paholg 3y agoThey've raised $670 million??? It's a SaaS product. In what world would they need close to that much money? Am I missing something? Or do companies really just raise as much money as possible, and hire assuming they'll be endlessly exponentially growing, regardless of what they need to build their product?
- dopeboy 3y agoYou raise money to hire talent, market your product, and secure optionality in case iteration #1 doesn’t work out. The more money you have, the better you can do each of those individual things. “Just a SaaS” is reductive.
