in many ways, pinball is the original "roguelite"—I fully expect indie pinball (both in video game form and even in physical form) to take the scene by storm, any day now, as soon as someone makes the Vampire Survivors of pinball games.

In the last three years prices for good, used pinball machines have roughly doubled and many newly built machines are sold-out and on back-order. They simply can't make them fast enough. These days you're lucky if you can find a new one at only MSRP. My wife fell in love with the new Stern Godzilla pinball and we finally just got it after a year and a half on the waiting list (and it cost >$10k).
