This is such a great question. I’ve come to realize that my internal “year” is a very funky circle, stretched and melted in some places. It’s flat on the bottom, and rotates clockwise. Anticlockwise is bananas to me, but fair enough, it is the positive direction on a graph. I like these questions of internal representation. Like “what color is Wednesday?” Yellow, obviously, but I suspect disagreement.
