Is it like the Orville where it tones down the comedy a bit later on? Orville felt like a parody of trek for the first few episodes, then just became trek for the rest of its runtime.
- parl_match 3y agoThe comedy gets better. It's also a much lower stakes show - they're ensigns, not captains. That allows it to be a little more flexible.
- lallysingh 3y agoNo it stays heavy on the comedy.
- Night_Thastus 3y agoOof. Well hopefully it gets a little less cringey.
- fknorangesite 3y agoThe first couple episodes of Lower Decks are the worst ones. The show only gets better. I get that not everything is for everyone, but I really love Lower Decks. It's terrific Trek, even if it is a comedy.
- lallysingh 3y agoIt's a combination of comedy and a giant warm loving hug to the rest of Trek.
