I lost taste/smell for about two weeks in the late summer 2022 from covid infection. Very wild to lose taste/smell. Not just diminished ... gone. You could have put a turd under my lose and I wouldn't have known the difference. Not only that, I stopped drinking coffee during that time because again ... what was the point if I couldn't taste it? Took a few weeks to completely recover from all of the side effects of a covid infection.
