Need urgent help and advice against fiancée's abusive boss
My fiancée works for the state department and her boss keeps her from sharing her phone number with me (really.) Recently she has been physically and mentally abused.
Where can I report this immediately? (State Department.)
- NetworkPerson 3y agoShe should start with reporting to her HR. Government jobs tend to have large HR teams which handle these complaints. Now that said, the phone number may be a non point. I’ve worked jobs so limiting I couldn’t share my real name. I know others who aren’t allowed to say where they work. If it’s part of the job description, she may legitimately not be allowed to share her work phone with you.
- logicallee 3y agoI've now filed a complaint with the Office of the Inspector General. Many people have told me to do that (on another forum) over a period of weeks and also today, but I was just praying I could solve it without having to do that.
- 14 3y agoWhat do you mean her phone number? Like her work phone number? Why do you need that? Does she not have a personal number? Who physically and mentally abused her? Was it her boss or a coworker? How does you having her number fix the fact that she was abused? Can't she call you if there is a problem what do you need her number for? This post seems a little unhinged maybe provide a few more details would help get some responses to what you are looking for.
- logicallee 3y agoShe had her personal phone physically taken from her and cannot call me from her personal phone, outside of work hours. I've filed a complaint with the Office of the Inspector General.
