Longtime HN reader, I finally made an account to comment on this. I started a blog in 2008. Math and genetics, time-insensitive material. I worked hard on the quality. Page views 1-10K per post overall. In 2018-2019 the page views dropped to 1%. I still write, but now it's just for me. And BTW, still waiting for a visitor from Tonga.
