In the book, the user can go back and forth in the story, and change what they want to do to see how the result changes, or return to previous locations at will to learn more. This should not be too hard to implement with different prompting techniques. We live in the future. Then, of course, there is the real-time bidding system for VR "ractors" to narrate the story...
