can anyone recommend a serious long term strategic analysis of how this zone will look in, let's say, 30-50 years?
- tguvot 3y agocurrently most analysts trying to figure out how this zone will look in 3 months
- tguvot 3y agoupdate: analysts gave up and quit
- rurp 3y agoThat's waaaay too long of a timeframe to predict anything in geopolitics, especially in a turbulent area. I wouldn't trust anyone claiming to know what this region will look like in a year, let alone 30+.
- netsharc 3y agoWell, thanks to runaway climate change, there'll hopefully be peace and quiet there.

- downvotetruth 3y agoGood odds Sabireen/Islamic Jihad will eventually get a black market nuke and hide it in one of the tunnels making a big glassed crater if and when Israel ends up sweeping the area.
- jesterman 3y agoWhy do you say there are good odds of that?
- downvotetruth 3y agoIran likely obtains a nuke from North Korea. Detonating one in a religiously historic city is a no go. It could be put on a rocket, but expensive risk of getting shot down. If Israel's army gets concentrated for some reason preferably in rural area such as outside Gaza that would be a tactical vulnerability.
- Shawnj2 3y agoNo but the possible outcomes are pretty much status quo and Israel occupies Gaza.
