Ask HN: Do you think influencers are a waste of time?
In my limited time in this life, in my limited time on the internet, in my memory of silent heroic hackers since 2000, i myself can't stand influencers anymore. Too much noise for nothing meaningful.
So i decided to ignore/block their presence in my virtual life.
How about you ?
- matiblanco5 3y agoinfluencers a waste of time? I created an influencer marketing campaign in which I converted $100 into 8,7 million of views. I have also created 300 videos partnerships that generated 240,000,000 and they helped me grow a product from 20k to 20m users. "are you using social media or social media is using you?" The main purpose of them is to grow but also you can use them to grow your service or your product. Influencer Marketing is a great way you can use them and find the objective audience your product needs and sell it. On the other hand, there are countless influencers whose content has no value whatsoever, try to find those who upload valuable information for you, you will reach them!

- revskill 3y agoNormally i didn't notice, and naturally follow the "trend". But there're something too noisy happens, i'm not sure if it's intentional from the media. Then most of the things on the internet become distracting, it's been less useful than it should be. Maybe things could improve in future, but at least for now, it's what i have to do to keep myself in focus.
