I wonder if maybe I got off the elevator at the right time, then. Becoming an SRE would be cool, and it was satisfying to justify my salary several times over just by finding and deleting some cloud resources nobody used anymore, but I think I just want to be closer to the product itself.
- VirusNewbie 3y agoeh, depends on what kind of SRE the company has. I'm a SWE/SRE and just the other day I made a small change to product code to optimize some threading issues.
