People think billions have a significant amount of money compared to countries all the time. I blame the media. I've seriously gotten into debates about Medicare and Medicaid and how it costs $1.5 trillion per year and how it would at-least double in costs to cover the nation and people honestly think billions in the country could be taxed to fund it. The willful ignorance that even if we took every single dollar they own it would barely give us any runway with no one left to tax after.
