Plenty of folks don't gain weight as they age and others can't gain weight if they try. Anecdotal evidence is not sufficient for scientific endeavors. So we must create hypothesis and rigorously test them. Science is really the process of proving yourself wrong and then looking at what the data dictates. "Look at your facebook feed" isn't conclusive nor compelling as evidence to anything other than our crippling need to post everything on social media.
