I hacked up a Faraday (my ruby HTTP client) plugin that uses ZeroMQ: https://github.com/technoweenie/faraday-zeromq https://github.com/technoweenie/faraday-zeromq. I honestly don't know if it's worth it though. It's easy enough to write your own ZeroMQ stuff.
