My uncle is an engineer specialising in glass bottle factory design and building. He's been to and from Tanzania (among other developing nations) a lot over the past 8 or so years building glass bottle plants and glass recycling plants.
Suffice to say, they're working on it.
- trgn 3y agoOn that note: breweries are bellweather industries. Need glass bottles, assembly lines. High hygiene and cleaning requirements, bringing more of the procedural sides of industrialization.. When a country starts brewing for global market, it's a good sign.
- BelleOfTheBall 3y agoIs Tanzania brewing? I know South Africa has its own liquor that's somewhat popular, but I'm woefully uneducated about the rest of the continent.
