I'm not surprised but I am disappointed to see the response as downvotes rather than actual engagement with the question and its implications. It's almost like people want to shape the Overton window to avoid this kind of discussion, ie, to put the blinders on themselves and others. YC's reputation depends on and is justified by its investment portfolio. Its investments are not justified by its reputation.
