What a waste of a great title and pretext. This article is nothing but a couple of crummy photos of some randos and text that amounts to "I went to a minor cloud conference and met some people"
- nonrandomstring 3y agoThere is a 40 min video on the prospect of homomorphic encryption and trusted work-packages to create federated cloud services owned by the principles, and the implications of that for cybersecurity in a world where Trusted Platform Modules and hypervisors may be compromised - so yeah, not much substance \s I guess one level of indirection (It says VIDEO HERE in large letters at the bottom) is a hard bar to meet for engagement these days? :)
- ChainOfFools 3y agoIf you want to create engagement you / OP should consider posting about the relevant content of the video, rather than just dropping the cute title there and expecting it to do all the persuading by itself. a title which incidentally would be very clever if applied to content that correlates with the irony of the song it comes from, but comes across as forced onto content which doesn't ask for it here.
- nonrandomstring 3y agoI do appreciate the tips. One of the hard challenges is that things move so quick through HN submissions that one rarely even gets a look, so a little blog post to "wrap" the content is what I'm trying at the moment. I don't much like reposting multiple times as that seems spammy. Dang and I have exchanged some friendly words off-list about how to acceptably submit content. What we're making on cybershow is, in all modesty, fairly decent, relevant and hopefully interesting for the crowd here. It's just jolly hard to eyes/ears-on with audio (or video) content, so I hoped a brief summary might help. Anyway, you might enjoy the video, so if you've time please give it a shot (the main talk starts 30 mins in) and report back with your thoughts. Thanks.
