Interestingly I feel like the most militant people i know re: Covid policy are the more narcissistic. “Everyone must do X so that I can feel safe.” I’m not saying this refutes the evidence, just my data point.
- RamenJunkie_ 3y agoI think the problem os your perspective. Its more like, "Everyone needs to do X so that everyone can BE safer."

- beau_g 3y agoSomeone taking it upon themselves to speak for everyone and determine they know what is best for the masses isn't narcissistic?
- Volundr 3y agoNo more so than it is to say "we should turn, so we don't run into this iceberg". Concern for the well-being of those around you is not narcissistic.

Given that you're mentioning the evidence, the effectiveness of covid vaccines isn't about feelings. The narcissism is of course in the notion "everyone else will be less safe, because I want to feel more free."
- croes 3y agoIsn't it obviously because the measures only work if all adhere to it, just like blackouts in wartime or the rules in every zombie movie. The weakest link in a chain ...
