Show HN: Guess The Movie – Discover a secret Movie everyday
I created this game where the objective is to discover the secret movie of the day. It's similar to games like Wordle, but in this case instead of words, you have to guess movies. An artificial intelligence algorithm will tell you how similar the movie you guessed is to the secret movie.
You can play it alone or in group. I'm open to feedbacks and general comments. Have fun!
- seanthemon 3y agoInteresting game, I found that the lack of information about why something was close or not made it a brute force game and eventually I gave up, when I saw the revealed answer I felt more puzzled than enlightened - more information would go a long way! Good job
- csamuelssm 3y agoThank you! I think maybe there's a way to give some more information about the similarities, but I'm afraid the app becomes too heavy with a lot of data. But I will definitely try to implement something in this direction.
- csamuelssm 3y agoHey! I made some changes and now the game shows the top 2 similar tags between your guesses and the secret movie. I think the game really improved a lot with this. Feel free to test the game again, if you want to. :)
- aryamaan 3y agoSame feeling. It does not take you towards the answer. So I added the first movie in the today's game (say Spiderman) and the answer was spiderman 2. When I entered Spiderman, it should have told how close I am to the answer
- aryamaan 3y agoI liked the part that rather than taking some english phrase, it takes the movie name as the answer. Helps with the prompt injection.
