  I'm not a coder, so I don't know how it could be done. I was just thinking of those "evercookies" that can't be killed in a reasonable manner.

  You can't imagine why Eve would want to trick Alice and Bob into upvoting one of her submissions she had an interest in? Or you can not imagine why Eve would want to trick Alice and Bob into upvoting other submissions so that they got killed and her submission received more attention?

    I can't imagine how it would be worthwhile to go to that much technical effort for the sake of ranking on HN.
