This is a big part of it, but I don't buy that the problem is disinformation - from the couple of times I have seen it Twitters community notes works pretty well for that. And we need to be better at ignoring things, sure. But my theory is that the real problem isn't that people don't know to evaluate something for truth, it is that they are not interested in truth in the first place - they are interested in things that reinforce their believes. It is not something new, and it is something we are all going to fall for from time to time, but I don't think most people care about truth for the most part.
