Why bother, when the sites are zombified or enshittified? Also, I used to write small tech articles for a hard hitting PC hardware site. Garbage SEO (and Youtube) ran the whole site out of business. I am a sample size of one, but this feels like a microcosm of what's happening to the web. Some of that good content is dying.
