Remote alerts from Mac address on tomato router
Is it possible to configure Tomato OS (on a router) to send an alert (e.g. email) to alert me when a specific MAC address has joined the network ?
Would it possible to do the same thing even if that MAC address was just sniffed, but not granted access to join ?
- t312227 3y agohello, i've used tomato in the past, but just as a router - didn't do much with it. but for example: you could achieve this by periodically monitoring the ARP table via cron: arp -n idk. jut search for the MAC in question and send yourself an e-mail if its present ... or whatever you want :) cheers t
- tissmond 3y agoIt's that easy, nice, I thought it might need a script. I just wanted to know when people were coming into my orbit, just to give me a bit of time to compose myself.
