A lot gets made of the inflation of CVSS scores but this is an interesting low ball of a score. It's a bit of a bold move to mark this one as a 9.8. If root access available to remote, unauthenticated users via the simplest means possible, unrevokable creds, isn't a perfect 10 then I don't know what is. I tried to find the mitigating factor that pushes it down that 0.2 but couldn't.
