- vlod 3y agoMy most pressing question is, can it play Doom? There seems to be a port for ESP32 [0] and Arduino Nano does play it [1], so maybe? - gizajob 3y agoWow so cool. Useless (for me) but cool.
- eternityforest 3y agoLooks like literally the coolest of any hacker handheld I've ever seen. It's basically a Cybiko, but (from the looks of it) even better. I'm especially excited about the speaker and mic. We could finally have WiFi walkie talkies! It would be an amazing slightly retro-ish home automation controller. I really want to try adding Bluetooth support to Meshtastic, so you can send mesh data directly over Bluetooth without needing LoRa. Then you could mesh chat, including with phones, and bridge to LoRa. It would also be an interesting device for texting, so you could leave your phone in a backpack. I also like the use of the Lego holes. Now that we have 3D printing there's a lot more possibilities for mixing high-poly art with your lego stuff. I may actually get some knockoff parts to play with. The technic connector pegs seem like they could actually be pretty awesome for prints, even though the normal bricks seem like not the best for PLA.
- sintezcs 3y agoI’m a big fan of M5 products, I have a full box of different microcontrollers from them in different form-factors. The cases and hardware are great, and their own online-IDE with graphical no-code editor that can be switched to micropython source view is really great to quickly sketch some prototype code
