Requests has support for async request by using gevent: http://docs.python-requests.org/en/latest/user/advanced/#asynchronous-requests http://docs.python-requests.org/en/latest/user/advanced/#asy... gevent has an wsgi module, but it is very low level. I am still looking for a clean/nice way of doing it in python.
