Thank you very much for that, my G9 hovers around 5 W idle which is not great. I will try these tweaks. Note that there is a GUI app called "Power Statistics" that shows the evolution of power consumption on battery quite well. It still uses data reported by the battery which is not super accurate but works well enough when looking at say an hour of data points.
