Anyone know why the (only?) picture is in black and white? It seems taking one with color wouldn't be any more difficult...
- jboy55 3y agoMost likely the picture was taken with a monochrome sensor with a filter applied tuned to a specific wavelength. That's more valuable than a color filter, which is made up of a mosaic of single pixel individual red, green and blue filters, interpolated to produce a RGB image.
- pipe2devnull 3y agoI think it is a color photo, just it’s just everything I’m pretty much is grey I think. If you look closely in some parts there’s a tiny bit of color.
- dtgriscom 3y agoYup. I just grabbed it and pinned the saturation, and you can see that the circular grills around the edge of the head are copper-colored.
