From what I heard, Lucid built an amazing car but is way too costly to build. They likely sell at a loss, even if we don't factor in R&D cost. They goal is to live another day.
- KennyBlanken 3y agoI'm pretty sure you're the only person expecting a startup luxury car company to break even in the first few years of it selling vehicles. Pretty amazing, especially given the site you're on.
- heisgone 3y agoI don't expect them to break even. All I'm saying is that if the company is in a situation where the more car they sell, the more money they lose (because of manufacturing cost alone), and can't fix that soon, they are in trouble.
