I said I was genuinely curious, not that it was done wrong. There's no need to look for an argument where none exists. I've written and/or read literally hundreds of TeXed documents, all in native TeX fonts and not once thought, "gee. This would pop more in a different font." I will happily concede that your imagination is grander than mine. I was interested, asked a question, received an answer, and have since moved on.
