Winning a Senate seat has the same problems as trying to win the presidency. They should be running for state representative. Take over a state house after a few election cycles, then work on getting a governor elected, then go from there to federal elections and other states.
- robg 3y agoSame problems? I don’t see that, it’s a local-ish constituency powered by national trends. States like New Jersey, Maryland, and Massachusetts all regularly flip governors between the two parties. Adding states like Colorado, Arizona, Delaware, New Hampshire, etc isn’t crazy for down a middle agenda.
- robg 3y agoP.s. Arizona could be a good test of the theory in the next Senate campaign, albeit with an incumbent going third party.
