- appplication 3y agoI’m not sure what the tragedy is. If I have trash there is literally nowhere else for it but the landfill.
- hulitu 3y agoNo, this is communism. /s In DE i had to pay to throw away my old tires. And no, the local recycling center will not take them even if you pay, so you need to search for companies which would take them (usually tire dealers).
- cafard 3y agoSome years ago, my son took a turn too close, and clipped one of DC's granite curbs, damaging the sidewall of the tire. The first tire shop I called (in Maryland, just over the line) quoted me a price, which when I showed up turned out to omit the tire disposal fee for the ruined one. I went next door and paid about the same price. My recollection is that the disposal fee was somewhere between one and two thirds of the new tire price.
