In highschool I basically lost my hearing on one side. It went silent for a little bit and now I have a static/beeping on it almost constantly. Had overpressure therapy in the weeks/months after but didn't help. Have a bone anchored heading aid (via implanted screw) but doesn't work well. Learned to live with it but mostly terrified if something will happen to my other ear... still have a few decades to go I hope, so better hold on to the hearing I have or science better hurry up
