FSD beta is significantly better on highways than the current standard Autopilot. It is a total crapshoot on surface streets. The cognitive load is definitely higher than manual driving on surface streets still, the highway it’s less.
- bumby 3y agoThis is why I think some of their safety stats are misleading. It’s much easier to rack up safe mileage on the highway. I’d like to see some standard set for the driving needed to develop these stats, similar to what the EPA does for emissions. It has flaws for sure, but it’s less likely to be gamed.
