Umm, why not spin-off a new, hip, “cat photo on the front page” version of the WSJ (WSJ Max, leveraging the brand without ruining it) and leave the old WSJ alone to moulder, ripen or just age gracefully, as its readership demographic plans to do? That sounds like the common sense approach.
Oh wait, this is East Coast media…sorry to have brought it up.
