Traktor, true multimaster replication for PostgreSQL
- nextaccountic 3y agoWhat happens when the arbiter node go down? I'm thinking about the moving parts of the system. Would this be more robust if this were a postgresql extension?
- happymellon 3y agoAfter spending the past couple of years dealing with PGLogical, random replication failures, random complete stopping of replication, complete lack of any form of error logging; I would be hesitant to use any other replication as postgresql extension. The observability once it is integrated as an extension drops significantly.

It also appears to have to run on the actual instance, ruling its usage out for cloud instances: https://github.com/ergo70/TRAKTOR/blob/955f9d2936bee039cf777999cd87204da58a783d/arbiter.py#L395-L404 https://github.com/ergo70/TRAKTOR/blob/955f9d2936bee039cf777...
