The title doesn't claim it IS a file explorer, it is an alpha version of something that aims to become a file explorer (for some definition of "explorer"). That's exactly the point of the OP?

Then the github page opens by saying... > Spacedrive - A file explorer from the future. And claims it offers... > a free file management experience like no other. So I think we can forgive people for thinking it is a file explorer!
- fkyoureadthedoc 3y agoCompletely ignoring > UPDATE: Spacedrive is under active development, we are in the pre-alpha stage, with builds occasionally released via GitHub actions, official alpha coming soon.
- troupo 3y agoA file explorer that doesn't explore files in alpha is not a file explorer ;)
- fkyoureadthedoc 3y agoYou'll have to check back when it gets to alpha then, since it doesn't claim to be there yet.
- Closi 3y agoYeah, but considering it says "this is a file explorer" a load of times, saying "it doesn't claim to be a file explorer" isn't right.
