I agree with 90% of what you said. The one time I ask an LLM AI to write something for me is after I think I have a final draft, I stay in the chat window that has all the history in it from where I worked through the paper. Then I ask the AI to write the paper for me. I do not take phrasing from it. I look for new ideas the AI inserted that I missed. There is usually at least one good new idea for me to steal.
