Advocates of new technology mostly only mentions the benefits. I always ask what the drawbacks are, and when the answer is "None", I reply "Ah, so you don't know the drawbacks yet?" Everything is a tradeoff. If you want to switch to something newer, make sure you know the benefits and drawbacks of both systems, and then decide if it's worth the effort and risk.
