You can buy teeth online
- r00t4ccess 3y agoYou have been able to get them on ebay for a while too
- extraduder_ire 3y agoI thought ebay has a policy against selling human body parts. I recall it from the (probably fabricated) story of someone attempting to sell their soul on the site, and being told it's against one of two separate rules depending on if the item for sale is real.
- ddmf 3y agoThis reminds me of being introduced to "Fugglers" via a message on twitter ages ago - apparently the maker had found a bag of teeth and decided to use it to make cuddly toys. Bought my ex a customised one, perhaps worth some decent money nowadays.
- Dig1t 3y agoThanks, I hate it.
- efitz 3y agoLooks like HN has hugged them to death.
- diggan 3y agoArchiving nerds to the rescue! Just the landing page though https://archive.ph/4G1D0 https://archive.ph/4G1D0
- mankyd 3y ago> Where do you get the teeth? > We collect teeth mostly from dentist, dental schools all legally and ethically sourced. Curious. If I was having teeth pulled and later found out my teeth were given to this company without consent, that would feel... creepy at best.
- dogman1050 3y agoI have both of mine in little ziplock bags given to me by the oral surgeons. I don't know why I save them.
- RodgerTheGreat 3y agoThey were a part of you for most of your life. Why abandon them now? They're certainly more unique and personal than the vast majority of keepsakes.
- ClumsyPilot 3y agoPut them on a keychain
- ge96 3y agoIn case you are visited; Darkness Falls
- fatih-erikli 3y agoReminds me a Vikingane (Norseman) scene. Best comedy I watched in 2010s
- AussieWog93 3y agoThis shouldn't be shocking to anyone. Even as a child I knew that the Tooth Fairy wasn't running a charity. Given the scale at which she collects teeth, though, I would have thought they mostly would end up in some sort of industrial application.
- omershapira 3y agoI'm sorry but assuming the tooth fairy's gender exposes your bias. smh
- Kerb_ 3y agoTooth fairy is most assuredly femme presenting at a minimum and probably uses she/her pronouns, though would also likely accept they/them or other pronouns given that fairies aren't likely to be held to human gender norms

- Obscurity4340 3y agoMales can be fairies too :)

- User23 3y agoHuman skulls too![1]. That site has been around for a long time. Naturally they won't buy from or sell to just anyone. Given the market price of a human skull you really don't want to encourage poaching. - londons_explore 3y agoI am dubious of quite how 'ethically sourced' these are... In most countries there are quite a lot of laws about how you should treat corpses, and 'for sale on skullsunlimited.com' doesn't seem to fit any of the categories. How many of those peoples descendants know that grandads skull is for sale for $1800 to some morbid collector?
- User23 3y agoI suspect many people who donate their remains don't read the fine print. I also wouldn't be shocked if there are shenanigans of various sorts taking place.
- voynich 3y ago[dead]
- philipov 3y agoSure, you can get the teeth, but how do you get them to stay in your mouth?
- neonnoodle 3y agoThis is sketchy as hell. The same content is mirrored at several other pages, "bforbones.com" and "sciencefairtooth.com." The name servers point to "thankyoudentist.com," a dental review web site with no content. The address and phone are also associated with "buyxraysonline.com." Given what investigations have uncovered about other "ethically sourced" biological specimens sold online for crafts...
- Obscurity4340 3y agoI hope its FairTrade™
