Firebird will always have a special place in my heart. Such a wonderful database engine: small, fast and full-featured. I've worked with it long time ago (up to v2.0 era) and loved it. After that, I worked for a company that used MySQL and hated every moment of it. Such a shame that a well developed tech is not a good enough reason for wider adoption.
