Actually, this article will deter me from using my fireplace this year. I enjoy chopping wood and then having somewhat-frequent fires in the winter. But my fireplace can also burn gas, which I will use now instead but far less frequently because it costs a shitload of money.
- AndrewKemendo 3y agoThat’s great! Hopefully more people are inspired to do so and it starts a wave. I know I’ve been advocating a long time since studies have been coming out for the last few decades on this. I have three kids and have lived in multiple houses that we had to retrofit the chimney /fireplace because we didn’t use it and they are a huge heat sump. Would be great to have reduced cancer across the population!
