First of all, software projects in general tend to stagnate and die. If you really want to contribute, I'm sure you can figure out a way. You can always fork it and do your own thing, that's potentially a contribution in itself. It's a little selfish to expect other people to become fluent in technical English and rearrange their project to suit your desires.
