- z_ 3y agoThanks AT&T!
- mykhamill 3y agoSo land based internet feeds 1 tree and Starlink feeds 30 trees. Guess the Ents will be using Starlink then.
- IronWolve 3y agoAnd starlink is freaking amazing! High speed internet in all rural and remote areas. Truly a great future for the human race. Amazon and others are gearing up to launch thousands of satellites to compete. They are playing catch up to Elons vision.
- timeon 3y ago> High speed internet in all rural and remote areas. Truly a great future for the human race. Is this sarcasm?
- tomohawk 3y agoThis is the high cost of government regulation. It's actually cheaper and easier to start a rocket company and provide internet from space than to deal with all of the state, local, and federal entanglements that have been thoroughly co-opted by the incumbents.
- kibibu 3y agoAnd significantly worse for the environment. It's only cheaper if you ignore externalities (which, ironically, the government refuses to regulate)
