This is a really nice idea. Reminds me of Guy Steele's 'Growing a language' talk (http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=-8860158196198824415 http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=-8860158196198824415) and generally of building a formal system by combining primitives.
