Not the transaction financial information but certainly the purchase amount and location are not covered by PCI restrictions and if a gas chain can find someone to pay them for that information, then they already have the arrangements and are doing so.
- inemesitaffia 3y agoTrue. The trade-off in Tesla's case isn't selling the data (yet) they use it to manage congestion in thier routing maps
- mixmastamyk 3y agoIndividual ID is at the bank, not the gas station. Cash is still around. Thanks for focusing conversation on the thing specifically called out as well-known and uninteresting.
