If you had to pick only one language to work with and trendiness wasn't a factor, C# is the best choice. Best docs, extremely wide use case coverage, great professional community, great balance between performance, speed, and ease of use.
Best all-purpose language - only JS can seriously compete.
- drewrv 3y agoI’d argue that JS can’t compete but typescript can. Anders Hejlsberg is a freaking genius.
- paddim8 3y agoTypeScript is still limited by being a superset of JavaScript.
- lizardking 3y agoTypescript as a language is arguable more flexible than C#, but everything else about the development experience is smoother with C#.
