Imagine what happens if everyone treats the cafe like you're describing. Will it make the cafe a pleasant place for others to be?
Try to live in a way such that if everyone else lived that way, things will be alright. Sit outside, or in a coworking space where talking on a call is acceptable.
- cm11 3y agoThanks. While what I'm describing can abstract well to ToC (many problems can), one difference is that the meeting taker with headphones pollutes the commons for everyone except themself—and those who want (or relent) to put their own headphones on. In standard ToC, the folks short term logic deteriorates the commons for everyone.
