You can buy cheap non-networked baby monitors just about anywhere, and they work great.
Mine has a range that works across the entire house, battery lasts all day, and only 'wakes' when junior is crying/moving.
IOT was a massive hype-cycle long dead. I even swapped out my Sonos system after those clowns making dumb privacy decisions.
