- tgv 3y agoThey really remove it: I favorited another thread, but it's gone. Apparently, Sam Altman was president of YC. As long as this keeps happening without any explanation, it's clear where this site's allegiance lies.
- 4oo4 3y agoI would think this would fall under "Negative stories about HN" under the FAQ and be treated with sensitivity, so I would be really curious for dang to weigh in on this, especially since this has seemed to happen repeatedly. I noticed this went from the top 10 to disappearing almost completely within a few minutes, without being flagged or anything. Annie's claims aren't yet substantiated but she should still be able to share her story.

- lyind 3y agoShe says she's been shadow-banned across multiple platforms: https://x.com/phuckfilosophy/status/1709978285424378027 https://x.com/phuckfilosophy/status/1709978285424378027 As for her persona and the allegations (ie. if this is news worthy), who knows.
- PurpleRamen 3y agoAt the moment this looks like random gossip without any substance. It's not even clear whether this is really the person they claim to be. And the accusations are a bit unspecific. In that form, it seems not appropriate content for this platform. Some professional should research deeper, verify and write some article first to back up the claims.

- dang 3y agoUsers flagged it. (That's the usual answer to this question, as explained in the FAQ: https://news.ycombinator.com/newsfaq.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsfaq.html.) (Posting this belatedly because the question has been coming up today.)
